Spinner baits for largemouth bass can be a very effective tool for catching the elusive fish, especially in the spring and fall when the fish are converting to a new feeding pattern. In warmer water you need to go with larger baits and spinners since it is a common theory that fish do not see as well in warmer temperatures. On clear, bright days you need to go with a lighter color with a lot of flash from the blade. Fish have to look up to see their swimming prey, so it is easier for them to see bright and flash. And since they cannot see as well you also need the vibration of the spinner blade to draw their attention. The sound is also irritating, so you might actually catch fish just because you have annoyed them to strike! Remember that the presentation should also match the activity of the bass. If the fish are not active, choose a larger, slower bait and be persistent. If the fish are more aggressive, or if you see a feeding trend happening, match it up with a larger, faster bait with more flash and hold on for some fun!

While it will take some time to learn everything that can be taught about fishing with spinner baits for largemouth bass, with enough patience and practice it will be well worth the effort. Every fisher person has his/her own favorite bait and way of fishing, but a beginner needs to try his/her hand at all of them in order to find the one that is right for them!
