Li shrimp catch up "bumper year" it? Arrived at Kaohsiung's fishing pier, where boats encountered are reasonable in the master, he told reporters, compared to the past, this year's harvest is not yet an established shrimp. Previously run open boat trips to offshore vessels will be able to back full tank shrimp, now open on the ship went to the Yellow Sea along the southern sea area in order to buy the shrimp. "This trip costs are several times higher than before the increase, so we have to receive several more shrimp boats Zaiwang Hui rush." In the master said, most of the ship to sea are go hand in hand, so turn back time soon afterwards, Therefore, legislation appears concentrated shrimp landings, the "especially those just returning that day, stand a few shrimp and a discharge is 10,000 pounds, with a bumper crop of scene-like!"
Reporters from the city confirmed the fishery station in the master's statement Webmaster Wang Hongshan reviewed statistics confirm that, this year the total market volume of shrimp legislation essentially flat with last year, and now stand above 90% are from the Yellow Sea south of shrimp is expected to In mid-April flood of this call will end shrimp.
Shrimps is a new species? Clear up doubts: advanced the storage conditions
Reporter in the market that year was actually a lot of stalls selling live stand shrimp jump. General Li shrimp prices are generally 10-12 yuan / kg, while the price of live shrimp stand up to 40 yuan / kg. Such a big price difference for a lot of people had doubts, "shrimp and whether this is a new species?"
Municipal fisheries technology extension station Zhang told reporters move, live shrimp are the ones that established the sea to catch shrimp stand, but with the changes in consumer demand, the current number of fishermen on fishing vessels are installed in full oxygenation, temperature devices, to establish shrimp provides a small survival sojourn environment, so that they have been able to jump into the public purchase.
"This kind of legislation shrimp on the high purchase price, plus there will be losses along the way, oxygenation, temperature needs to cost, so stand selling price of fresh shrimp than you."
As the price of refined you, live shrimp legislation established the sales of fresh shrimp are usually only about 1 / 2, many industry operators, said he did not make money selling shrimps.

Stenopus hispidus Banded Coral Shrimp $8.99 The Banded Coral Shrimp ( Stenopus hispidus ) has large claws with alternating reddish-brown and white bands running the length of their body. S. hispidus is the most common of the group of shrimp known as the "Banded Coral Shrimp" or "Boxing Shrimp". Banded Coral Shrimp are also sometimes referred to as "Boxing Shrimp". Both males and females have very large front claws that can be close to their entire body length in size. They also have long, whisker-like antennae. These shrimp are best kept singly in the aquarium unless a mated pair can be obtained as two or more shrimp will usually fight to the death. They can also be aggressive towards other crabs and shrimp like cleaner shrimp, arrow crabs and others. Banded Coral Shrimp will feed on meaty foods. Along with leftovers from other tankmates, they can be fed a variety of frozen and prepared meaty items like shrimp, brine shrimp, krill, scallops, clam and similar items. They will feed on small bristleworms and some may act as "cleaner shrimp" for other tankmates. Shrimp molt their hard outer skeleton to grow and it is not unusual to find an empty molt in an aquarium with shrimp. Shrimp also can molt under environmental stress such as water changes, rapid changes in conditions or during shipping. Always acclimate shrimp slowly to avoid sudden changes in their environment. Crustaceans benefit from iodine and mineral supplements to help form a healthy, hard exoskeleton. Regular water changes with high quality salt mixes usually provide enough, but extra supplements may be needed in reef tanks or in tanks with heavy invertebrates loads that use up iodine and other minerals rapidly. If water changes with new, fresh saltwater are not done regularly, the minerals also get depleted and nitrates accumulate and can also be detrimental to crustaceans and other invertebrates. Visit That Fish Blog for more information from our marine biologists on common "Boxing Shrimp". This is a Restricted item and is not covered by our Arrive Alive 5-Day Guarantee. Thor amboinensis Sexy Shrimp $16.99 Sexy Shrimp ( Thor amboinensis ) are named for their dancing stance as they wave their tails above their heads. They are golden yellow or red with white and lavender spots. These shrimp only reach about 1 to 2 inches in size, so choose tankmates carefully to avoid putting these shrimp with a potential predator. Their tiny size makes them ideal candidates for mini reef set-ups where they can be easily observed and appreciated. They prefer being housed in groups with Euphillia corals. Most shrimp are omnivore or are opportunistic scavengers. They will generally accept other foods like flakes, pellets, algaes, and frozen meaty foods as well as whatever they scavenge from their tank (or tankmates).
