One of the biggest issues people have when getting started out online is figuring out where to get some traffic from, and how to get that traffic to their landing page/affiliate offer. I know it was one of my biggest obstacles to making money online. I could build a website/webpage, but I had real trouble getting visitors to them. After a couple of years experience and "hard-knocks" I have identified a few "golden" traffic sources that I like to use and have used with some success. I would like to share those same traffic sources with you in this article so you can start making money from your affiliate marketing as quickly as possible.

These traffic sources are here because they work. You need to put in a little bit of effort, but it is well worth it. These traffic methods are not sexy, but they do work and will get you hits to your site and that is what is important when you are starting out. Try not to overcomplicate things when you get started, and try not to go looking for the "magic solution". All these traffic strategies gave me fast serious results when I got started online, and they still can do for you too.

Forum commenting. Join a forum in the niche you are targeting. Look threads where people are starting a discussion looking for opinions and look for threads/discussions where people are looking for help or answers to those questions. Make sure you have a link with a strong call to action in your signature file. This is often called a "signature link". You can edit this in your forum account after you have successfully signed up.

Try your best to share your opinion in discussions and answer people's questions as often as possible. Try to do at least 10 constructive forum comments a day.

Also remember to leave helpful and valuable comments in discussions. Do not spam forums with one or two line useless comments that don't help anyone. It makes you look bad and can also get your account banned. Be respectful. A forum is some one else's website, and they have probably put a lot of money, time and effort into it.

Golden Traffic Source 2

This traffic method is a lot faster than forum posting. For one, you don't generally have to sign-up or be a member of anything to leave a blog comment. Use Google's blog search to find blogs in your niche that contain relevant content. Read the blog posts, and leave a thoughtful/helpful comment in the comments section of the post.

Where the comment form asks for your name, put your targeted keywords and in the URL section, enter the website address you are looking to get traffic to. Once you submit your comment (and once it is approved by the blog owner) you should have a link going back to your site.

The key to getting traffic using this technique is to leave an interesting, thoughtful or engaging comment that will have a lot of readers wanting to find out more about you, your website and what it is that you do.

Free traffic from Google. Despite what a lot of sales pages say, it is not very easy to "game" Google these days. The only way to get genuine, quality free traffic from Google is to get ranked at the top of the first page for targeted keywords. For a lot of new and experienced people, this seems like a really big deal, but it is no where near as difficult as people make out!

All three of these traffic sources will see you getting good numbers of visitors to your site in a relatively short amount of time. A lot of people will tell you that getting your website ranked high on Google can be a very difficult task, and can take a long time.
