Spinning Your Articles To Their Doom

As a writer entering the world of article marketing I was surprised to read about article spinning.  Article spinning claims to be able to turn one article into many by changing adjectives, modifying sentences and moving paragraphs.  And the best part seems to be that you don't even need a human being to accomplish these tasks.  Computer programs will, for a price, do the work for you.

Whether article spinning is technically a benefit to article marketers I will leave to those more experienced in the field.  The purpose of this article is to comment on article spinning from a writer's perspective.  Those who are content to accept spun articles will get something like the following: My Big RV, My Large RV, My Huge RV, My Heavy RV, and My Humongous RV.  The list could go on but you surely get the point.  No matter how you spin it, there is one original article and attempted clones will inevitably diminish the quality of that article.

Does quality matter?  The ability to establish yourself as an expert or at least as an author who creates quality material can certainly improve the number of times your articles are republished.  This should provide you with additional back links and click through opportunities.  The down side is that there are so many poorly written articles it may take a while for your work to become well recognized.  In the meantime you are not getting the benefit of writing one and having it magically transform into many.

Attempting to spin an article means that when creating the original you are somewhat controlled by that fact.  Instead of thinking about your message, you are thinking about how many adjectives might make the optimal number of spins.  Those interested in quality will find this disappointing.  Though it may come as a surprise to some, writers actually consider which words are the best to use in every situation.  They are not always right, but they do think about word use and placement.

I've also noted several articles explaining how quickly you can write an article and get it published.  Some of the suggestions that require you to focus and organize are very good ones.  However, speed for the sake of speed, will reduce the quality of your work.

Some may believe that I do not fully understand article marketing, and they are likely correct.  However, as stated above, the purpose of this article is to view the process of article spinning from a writer's perspective.  Until proven otherwise, it is my recommendation you emphasize preparing an article that enlightens or entertains others and one you would want to read.
